Job DescriptionResponsible for management and integrity of the financial data used in the compilation and preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements and regulatory financial records. Proactively identify and implement financial system process changes and enhancements. Serve as the liaison for the Finance department with the Information Technology department to support system upgrade and/or conversions.
- Serve as the liaison between the Finance (Corporate, Shared Services, and Property) and IT departments.
- Maintain the Foundation Data Model (FDM) in Workday by ensuring the integrity of the system by managing the creation of the FDM values including new accounts, cost centers, companies. revenue categories, spend categories,first notice rules and companies.
- Become Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday FINS to support business users for Prism, Accounting Center, and Adaptive Planning.
- Develop, test, and maintain system reports to ensure that they provide accurate and compliant financial information for financial statement, budgeting, and analysis purposes.
- Train accounting personnel to ensure that accounts and reports are used consistently across the Company in the most effective and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot and remediate system problems or processes that affect the efficiency of the accounting process or accuracy of the financial information.
- Provide reports and documentation to external and internal auditors as required.
- Manage system upgrades and conversions from the perspective of the Finance department. Coordinate with the IT department and Finance departments so the upgrades and conversions are properly planned, documented, and communicated to mitigate disruption and ensure their success.
- Other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems required.
- Three (3) years of financial systems management experience.
- Direct experience with Workday FDM data, reports, business processes, Prism, and Accounting Center.
- Must have strong analytical skills including Excel to validate data sets.
- Motivated self-starter who can own a project and engage resources to complete it.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
