The Financial System Anslyst is responsible for Product Ownership of FODL Control Framework, Audit & Compliance Support, and Risk Mitigation across the FODL data ecosystem. The role partners closely with Finance, Technology, Risk, Audit, and Data Governance stakeholders to ensure data integrity, effective controls, and compliance with enterprise governance requirements. The individual will lead the design and enhancement of data controls, oversee governance activities, and drive resolution of complex data management challenges
Responsibilities- Owning and executing controls and governance activities across the FODL data ecosystem, ensuring data integrity and completeness at every stage of the data pipeline
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal control and governance groups including SOX, PRSA/RCSA, and Finance Data Governance (FDG), managing relationships and ensuring alignment with organizational policies
- Supporting internal and external audits related to data controls, preparing documentation and facilitating reviews as required
- Contributing to the continuous development of the FODL Control Framework by partnering with the technology team to build and enhance native control capabilities
- Maintaining and evolving comprehensive control checklists that govern data movement across upstream and downstream systems
- Leading creative problem-solving on ambiguous, whitespace challenges by facilitating brainstorming with technology partners and fellow Product Owners to arrive at practical, scalable solutions
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and managing delivery tasks through Rally/Jira, contributing to sprint planning and backlog grooming for controls-related initiatives
- Proactively identifying process risks within the data pipeline and proposing control enhancements that go beyond baseline compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
- Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation; ability to navigate and interpret large financial datasets
- Experience in stakeholder management, with demonstrated ability to engage across multiple teams and functions simultaneously
- Familiarity with governance, controls, or compliance frameworks (e.g. SOX, RCSA, or equivalent) is a strong advantage
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment, with hands-on use of tools such as Jira or Rally
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and tackle loosely defined problems with a structured, creative mindset
- Collaborative working style with a track record of partnering across multiple teams and functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and process concepts for diverse audiences
- Detail-oriented with a structured approach to problem-solving and documentation
