This is a remote contractor position (12 months) on the Finance team. It is available to those in our Latin America & Caribbean region containing the following countries: Haiti, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador.

JOB SUMMARYThis intermediate analyst evaluates current or proposed Finance operations and develops, tracks, documents, recommends, and/or analyzes processes, operations, or systems, assessing the organizational model or its integration with technology. This analyst leverages experience and training to discover and/or develop data, monitor analytics, contribute to successful communications and quality trends, problem solve support requests, and educate leadership in areas of opportunity for improvement. Coordinating among various stakeholders, the analyst will lead or serve on project teams to pilot innovation efforts, provide systematic reviews, resolve system support issues, and promote sustainability of ministry initiatives. At this career level, this person generally works independently on moderately complex business analysis cases or as a team member on larger projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSActs as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
Assesses Compassion's Finance organization, processes, or initiatives by organizing business needs, reviewing, considering, and/or defining the ministry's policies and approaches, standardizing work flows, policies, and procedures, interpreting business rules and requirements, and improving the quality of the services being delivered.
Reviews business cases, sorting requirements from stakeholders, studying organization issues, translating and simplifying requirements, managing communications, and producing formal documentation.
Leverages experience and training to discover data, monitor analytics, contribute to successful communications and quality trends, and prepare education materials regarding areas of opportunity for improvement.
Gathers ministry-related information, sorts the statistical data, applying it to different business functions, looking for ways of identifying efficiencies, problem areas, and improvements.
Builds business objectives required for formulating analysis plans and designing questionnaires, tests, and plans, to mine data from available internal and external sources, to perform an actionable analysis and give cogent recommendations. Conducts further tests to ensure that data is valid and consistent with defined needs.
Identifies and analyzes simple ministry process problems, defining the scope of activities required to address the issues and streamlining where appropriate to increase productivity and efficiency.
Provides ongoing customer support through resolving ServiceNow tickets.
Plans, monitors and coordinates his or her own projects from initiation through completion. This includes developing assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project. Further, the incumbent provides for progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management, to include organizing and directing team members, and ensuring that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time.
Provides technical expertise and support to other professionals. This includes assisting with the resolution of support requests that may involve configuring, developing, and implementing solutions to adjust technical systems for ministry needs.
Serves as a primary point of contact during budget and forecasting cycles to gather corrections for WD HCM for clean data to feed into other systems. While gathering these corrections the analyst will perform a root cause analysis to address and inform decisions related to improving data feeds from WD HCM to other systems.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related preferred.
Work Experience
3+ years of relevant experience working in this or a related field.
Workday Financials or WD HCM experience is preferred.
Workday Adaptive Planning experience is preferred.
Language
Advanced English language skills - speaking, reading, and writing
This position is being offered remotely with a preference for candidates living near a National Office.
