Would you like to work for a company with Core Values such as TEAM and FUN? Then DaVita is what you are looking for! We are currently seeking someone interested in the cross-section between finance and health policy to join our Village as a Senior Analyst on the Policy Analytics team!
About the role:
This role requires interest in complex healthcare policies, data analytics, and proficiency in core financial analytical skills and statistics. This position will work closely with both Government Affairs and other finance, clinical, and operational teams to assess the impacts of regulatory and legislative policies on our patients and the dialysis industry and develop additional analytics that ultimately shape our advocacy strategies. The senior analyst will lead financial reporting and analytics on Medicare, as well as develop complex statistical models to better understand the impact of various government policies and how they impact our patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform regular financial reporting on Medicare reimbursement
- Read and understand complex regulatory and legislative documents
- Translate policy into financial impacts and assist in developing advocacy strategies
- Effectively communicate policies or analytics to target relevant audience (across the organization)
- Develop statistical tools to better understand our patient population
- Streamline financial and health population models
- Perform ad hoc analytics across a variety of policies, directly and indirectly related to healthcare / our organization
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
- Attend team meetings and training as needed
- Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
- Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position

Education/Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
- One to Three (1-3) years of professional experience in a finance or analytics role
- Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects and develop advocacy strategies
- Proficient query language knowledge (SQL)
- Proficient programming language knowledge for statistical modelling (R, Python)
- Experience with or willingness to learn or upskill programming languages using AI (Python)
- Experience working with large datasets that require query language to format and manipulate (preferred)
- Experience with Data Visualization Tools (Tableau) (preferred)
- Experience using Alteryx (preferred)
- Experience using Anaplan (preferred)
- Experience building complex financial and predictive models (preferred)
