Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for 3rd to 5th year Associates with an interest in complex litigation, with an emphasis in financial services litigation. Positions are available in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and interpersonal skills, be interested in working on a collaborative, cross-office team, and have strong case management skills. Qualifications for this position are:
Experience analyzing issues for, conducting research for, and drafting briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues for complex litigation.
Experience defending financial institutions in litigation in federal or state court or arbitration.
Working familiarity with federal banking regulations and standards.
Preparation for and participation in motion argument.
Preparation of outlines and exhibits for depositions; taking or defending depositions is a plus.
Case management experience, including running written discovery responses, document review and production, and working directly with clients and experts.
Law Review/Journal and/or Moot Court experience preferred, but not essential. Candidates must have a solid academic performance and be in good standing with the TX State Bar. Admission to the Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of Texas preferred but not required.
