The Work Itself

This job requires a high degree of financial analytical and investment accounting skills.

The primary responsibilities of the Financial Services Analyst(s) are maintaining the investment accounting database and overseeing the securities safekeeping operations. Secondary responsibilities of the role include back-office support for the operations for the Advisory, Brokerage, ALM and Funds Management areas.

The Financial Services Analyst(s) will maintain the investment accounting database on behalf of Advisory and Brokerage clients in an accurate and consistent fashion. This includes writing and running queries, maintaining accurate investment portfolios, generating reports, calculating principal and interest payments and researching payment discrepancies.

The security safekeeping duties consist of settling all investment trades on behalf of credit unions, opening new accounts, creating and maintaining reports, initiating wire emails, interacting with the safekeeping vendor, and researching payment discrepancies. There is also significant communication with credit unions regarding settlement issues. Additionally, the Financial Services Analyst(s) will be the primary contact with other corporate credit unions that utilize Catalyst safekeeping services.

In addition, the Financial Services Analyst(s) are also responsible for supporting the back-office operations for multiple investment services departments including the Advisory, Brokerage, ALM and Catalyst Corporate Funds Management. Tasks include monthly product billing, year-to-date fee income reporting, reconciliations, various ad hoc reports, and maintaining credit union agreements.

The person(s) in this position will serve as BondEdge administrator, maintaining the portfolio analytical software and acting as liaison between BondEdge help desk and investment services.

The Talent You Bring

The Essential Requirements:

• Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or 3-5 years experience in financial services industry3-5 years of Salesforce Lightning experience
• Awareness and understanding of financial and investment markets
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency using computers and learning systems
• High level user of MS Excel, MS Word, and other MS tools
• Outstanding customer service and relationship management skills

Additional skills and experience are a plus:

• Knowledge of trading and settlement of fixed income securities
• Experience in investment accounting and investment accounting software
• Ability to identify and leverage technology to implement efficiency improvements
• Experience with MS Power platforms
