The Role:

Congo Brands is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manager in the Financial Reporting department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for our fast-paced and innovative company. As the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our financial reporting processes, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insightful recommendations for financial improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and disclosures.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct research and perform documentation of technical accounting issues and assist with the implementation of new accounting guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights on financial performance.
• Assist in directing annual financial statement audits.
• Support monthly close processes including key schedules, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Assist in various ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
• Identify and drive continuous process improvements for the accounting close process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems. NetSuite is a plus.
• Experience at a CPG or Food/Beverage Company.
• Experience with global consolidations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
