Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, Manager, will report to the Corporate Controller, the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, Manager, will provide accounting, reporting and internal controls expertise, financial process guidance, and business leadership/insight to the company. This person will be involved with all general ledger accounting, tax, and associated reporting activities for the business. Specific areas of responsibility will include providing financial/business advice covering the accounting close process, technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, supporting worldwide tax/financial compliance, internal controls, treasury and cash management, and special projects. The Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, Manager, will have considerable experience with technical accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, and internal controls.


PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Partnership with Corporate Controller and other business leaders to support financial reporting initiatives and ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant rules and regulations:


•Participate in month-end close process including journal entries, reconciliation review analysis of financial information, financial statement generation and other recurring and non-recurring items as needed.


•Prepare quarterly and annual financial statement footnotes and MD&A in accordance with GAAP and S-X requirements


•Financial statement analysis and review to assist with understanding and explaining actual results to Corporate Controller and CFO


•Ownership of administration of the financial and disclosure components of equity compensation and accounting


•Manage the annual financial statement audit and quarterly reviews


•Ownership of statutory reporting and compliance activities for our foreign entities, including coordination and support of third-party consulting firms supporting compliance efforts


•Manage revenue recognition process, including consultation and recommendations for complex revenue transactions with customers 


•Key business partner for sales organization as it relates to supporting and providing accounting guidance with regards to customer contracts


•Research, conclude, document, and clearly communicate technical accounting matters as they arise. 


•Improve and build control structure over financial reporting and other key business processes, including implementing and managing a process to ensure current control environment is accurately documented.


•Ensure compliance with internal control over financial reporting


•Work with tax advisors to ensure compliance with US Federal and State and international tax matters.


•Subject matter expert for financial reporting in our business intelligence reporting platform


•Develop, test and support ongoing maintenance for key financial reports, schedules and dashboards

•Involvement in the global treasury process as needed


•Participate in the business insurance renewals process.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

•Anticipates needs and ensures development and maintenance of robust, scalable capabilities (processes, systems, policies/procedures, organization and compliance) to support the company’s growth


•Implements and maintains strong internal controls, processes and policies 


•Owns technical accounting research including assessment and implementation of new accounting standards


•Oversees revenue recognition under ASC 606


•Manages SEC reporting process for financial related disclosures using Workiva filing software


•Key finance point person for financial reporting, including development and maintenance of reports and dashboards in business intelligence reporting platform and SAP S4/Hana.


•Strive to use systems to build efficiencies and scalable processes.


•Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s Degree or MBA a plus

•CPA required; 4+ years public accounting experience strongly preferred

•5-7+ years of progressive, relevant Accounting experience

•Public Company SEC reporting experience

•Ability to digest, research and communicate technical accounting matters 

•SOX compliance experience
