Job Description

USPH is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Analyst to join our growing company. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the Financial Reporting Analyst is a key member of the Accounting and Financial Reporting team assisting with internal and external financial reporting.

The primary responsibilities are assisting with consolidations and timely completion of SEC filings. The ideal candidate is hands-on, is engaged and has attention to detail, can embrace ambiguity, loves solving problems, and ideally has experience with SEC disclosure preparation and associated requirements. The role is based at our corporate headquarters in Houston, TX (remote candidates are not being considered). 

Job Duties:

  • Assists in the preparation of SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statement.  Maintain schedules to support financial statement disclosures, including GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.
  • Participate in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, including preparing and maintaining monthly company-wide consolidations.
  • Maintain schedules for redeemable non-controlling interests, non-controlling interest and equity distribution sheets for partnerships.
  • Assist in providing quarterly and annual schedules in support of external and internal audit process.
  • Assist in improving documentation and process improvement related to financial reporting preparation.
  • Assist in transition to new financial reporting platform
  • Review financial results, report variances, and provide related analysis to enhance an understanding of the financial results.
  • Assist in researching accounting issues, keep up with new financial standards released and draft technical accounting memos.
  • Coordinate with various departments and monitor annual and quarterly deliverables for outside auditors and prepare SOX documentation.
  • Manage the administration of employee stock compensation programs, including RSUs, and equity awards, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Support the financial reporting team with various ad hoc analyses.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • CPA is preferred but not required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. 
  • Workday experience a plus, not required.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who can communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
  • Excitement around navigating a high growth, rapidly changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Proficient in interacting with and creating a collaborative working environment amongst stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
