Salary range: $6,938.53 - $9,713.60 per month 

Job Description

The Financial Reporting Analyst II supports the Credit Union's financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and technical accounting functions by preparing complex financial information, performing technical accounting analyses, and independently completing specialized accounting activities including loan accounting. This position contributes to the accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Credit Union's financial reporting processes through technical expertise and sound professional judgment.

This position works in the office on a daily basis in Liberty Lake, Washington. 

Core Job / Requirements/Outcomes

  • Prepare accurate and timely external financial reporting by independently completing financial statement support, regulatory reporting, audit activities, and related reporting requirements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidance.
  • Perform specialized accounting and technical analyses by preparing CECL calculations, loan accounting activities, accounting research, and other complex accounting responsibilities while identifying issues and recommending appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Improve financial reporting processes by utilizing reporting technologies, enhancing documentation, identifying process improvements, and collaborating across the department to strengthen reporting efficiency and internal controls.

Other Essential Functions

  • Support departmental or credit union wide initiatives and projects by contributing as an effective project team member and complete all tasks and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Provide support across the Financial Reporting team through cross-training, knowledge sharing, and assisting with department responsibilities as needed
  • Ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness in all aspects of financial reporting, accounting, and analytical work to support sound financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Represent the Financial Reporting department by providing timely, professional, and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory guidance, and tax requirements while identifying opportunities to improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Qualifications

Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Job Experience Minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting or finance position, preferably in a financial institution or in a public accounting/auditing position. Proven ability to work independently while demonstrating competency in communication and time management skills.

Software Skills Expert knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Proven experience with report writing and/or data base (SQL, data warehouse).

Physical Demands Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
