Your day at NTT DATA

The Finance PMO Executive will play a critical role in the management of the SAP ERP project's financial aspects, ensuring accurate budgeting, meticulous capitalisation, and strict adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, tracking, and reporting of the project, providing financial insights to project stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Budget Management:
  • Develop and maintain the overall project budget, including capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX).
  • Monitor budget performance against actual spending, identify variances, and provide timely reporting to project leadership.
  • Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to ensure accurate budget forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Manage budget change requests and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
• Capitalization Process:
  • Establish and maintain a robust capitalization process for SAP ERP project costs, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Work with project teams to identify and document eligible capitalizable costs.
  • Prepare and review capitalization schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely capitalization of assets in the financial system.
• IFRS Compliance:
  • Ensure all financial aspects of the SAP ERP project comply with relevant IFRS standards, particularly IAS 38 (Intangible Assets) and IAS 16 (Property, Plant and Equipment).
  • Stay abreast of changes in IFRS and assess their impact on the project.
  • Provide guidance and training to project teams on IFRS requirements.
  • Work with external auditors to ensure compliance with IFRS reporting requirements.

• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular financial reports on project performance, including budget vs. actual, capitalization status, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to project stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and metrics to track project progress.
  • Perform ROI and TCO analysis.
• PMO Support:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of PMO best practices and standards.
  • Support project risk management by identifying and assessing financial risks.
  • Collaborate with other PMO team members to ensure project alignment and consistency.
  • Support audit procedures related to the project.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project managers, finance teams, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Lead financial meetings related to the SAP project
