Position Summary:
- Reporting to the Senior Director of Business, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Planning & Business Analysis Manager will coordinate the preparation and manage the narrative of public company deliverables, including the Management’s Discussion & Analysis, Press Release, and Earnings’ call material, with the primary objective to bring value to the shareholders and investors
- The FP&A Manager will prepare the Audit Committee meeting material and support the Management team to provide a business and financial update to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis
- The FP&A Manager will track the monthly performance of our brands from a statutory perspective, as well as play an active role in the management and execution of quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
- The FP&A Manager will act as business partner to the Export Sales team to support them in understanding the main drivers of the Export markets performance
- Furthermore, the FP&A Manager will supervise the management of the Structure Costs actuals and forecasts, partnering with People and Experience teams
- Lastly, the FP&A Manager will take an active part in delivering on the Group’s Transformation agenda in the fields of Finance (BI dashboarding and planning tools) and assisting the FP&A Senior Director in ad-hoc analyses and presentations to be shared with Top-Management
- The Financial Planning & Business Analysis Manager will have the opportunity to manage a pool of 4 analysts shared across 3 Managers
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the preparation and control the narrative of monthly business-oriented financial presentations and reports for various levels of senior leadership to measure the Company’s Profit and Loss results against Company objectives
- Identify, analyze, and communicate underlying business trends and financial implications of strategic decisions to take adequate decisions
- Prepare the monthly statutory P&Ls business commentaries preparation and review in a timely manner, prepare the quarterly statutory requirements preparatory work in broad autonomy through regular interaction with Senior Management roles, and continuously thrive for improving the statutory P&L business insights by segment
- Lead the monthly export P&Ls business commentaries preparation and review in a timely manner, act as a genuine business partner with the Export teams at Corby and other Pernod-Ricard affiliates’ finance teams in full autonomy to help develop this strategic business segment over the next years
- Supervise the preparation and manage Structure Costs actuals and forecasts, as well as develop an in-depth understanding of key Structure Costs longer-term stakes to challenge Business Unit Directors in the making of their budgets and provide Senior Management levels with efficient and accurate forecasts with the active support of the FP&A Senior Director
- Provide value-added business support and insights to other stakeholders to facilitate and influence strategic decision making, notably regarding regular operating expenses and new-to-market product launch process
- Demonstrate logic and creative approach to problem solving while providing insights
- Take an active participation in regular rolling forecast and business modeling preparation (by brand, strategic clusters and by market) to monitor the longer-term performance of the Company, with a particular focus on export business and statutory implications
- Prepare the Company’s long-term strategic planning process when it comes to statutory results
- Actively participate in ad-hoc business analyses and requests, such as regular business review presentations building and finance transformation project roll-out, with a particular focus on BI dashboarding and planning tools
- Manage a team of 4 financial analysts shared across 3 managers with leadership and care, participate in the recruitment and development of FP&A analysts

- Risk Management & Internal Control: Ability to identify and evaluate Business Risks, design and implement appropriate risk-mitigation plan. Ability to implement and review controls to ensure compliance with external regulations/internal policies, reliability of financial information, and security of assets, whilst maintaining business efficiency
- Legal for Finance: Ability to understand legal matters (contracts, intellectual properties) to analyze and consider their financial and operational impacts

Education:
- Management/Finance Degree
- Master of Science / Master of Business Administration preferred
- Accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA) seen as a strong plus
Experience:
- Previous experience in audit & consulting firm; minimum 3 years of experience
- Previous planning & reporting experience; minimum 3 years of experience in a financial reporting, planning or related environment
- Fundamental deep knowledge of accounting and financial concepts
- Previous industry experience would be an asset
- Previous experience with Essbase, SmartView, PowerBI-based reporting systems would be an asset
