The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for the calculation and control of the VA/VE actions, supporting the overall structure, the ideation and implementation of the Projects

General Responsibilities

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support

• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews

• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements

• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials

• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools

• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models


Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience

• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

• Calculate and assess cost impacts related to Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives.

• Support cost reduction project ideation through financial analysis and cost estimations.

•   Partner with operations and engineering teams to facilitate the implementation of approved VA/VE initiatives.

• Monitor realized savings and financial performance of cost improvement projects.
