This role is an in office position for candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine location. This role is an exempt salary and pays $120,000-$135,000 depending on experience, plus a discretionary retention and performance bonuses opportunities. This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborating with the accounting department on accounting related information
  • Liaising with senior management, heads of departments and senior leadership
  • Building annual budgets and forecasts for different business units and consolidating into a master budget
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly internal management reports and other management key deliverables
  • Assist in process optimization and automation to increase operational efficiency
  • Conduct economic, market research and competition analysis and evaluate impact to business operation
  • Provide and evaluate business performers using company KPIs at entity and department levels
  • Prepare variance analyses against budgets, historical and benchmark using various variance analysis techniques
  • Maintain the business risk matrix and support business response to identified risks
  • Maintain and develop existing financial models to provide value to senior leadership used in the reporting and valuation processes
  • Assist the director of finance on Ad-Hoc assignments

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience heavily focused on data analysis and optimization.
  • Proven ability to automate processes using python or VBA.
  • Proficient at using Tableau or Power BI in presenting and visualizing complex financial data sets
  • CFA/CPA not required but a plus!
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting.
  • General understanding of financial and operational process flow
  • Demonstrated ability for financial analysis.
  • Detail oriented with a flexible mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and availability to manage growth 
  • Forward thinking and a team player
  • High proficiency in Excel
