The Leidos Corporate Finance Group is actively seeking a FP&A Analyst Lead to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to hone your financial story telling skills starting from detailed analysis and planning to presenting to Senior Leadership. You’ll consider yourself a Finance Business Partner to Corporate Functions, ensuring that functional spending is aligned with company strategy. Responsibilities will include planning, forecasting, reporting, and overall budget maintenance. In addition, you can expect to perform ad hoc modeling and other requests that drive operational and strategic efficiencies within the business.
This is a hybrid role that requires 3-4 days of onsite support from Reston - VA. Selected candidate is expected to live within commuting distance from Reston - VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support, enhance and maintain financial reporting
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to formulate accurate expense forecast
- Update and maintain quarterly forecast in financial system
- Deliver monthly expense variance analysis
- Provide analytical support and actionable financial insights
- Be a Finance Business Partner to the function
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of applicable FP&A experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of applicable FP&A experience
- Prior experience should include financial forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strong skills in Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft SharePoint, and ability to learn new applications.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, using advanced formulas to generate efficiency
- Demonstrated analytical ability
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial reporting
- Experience with IR&D Tracking and accounting
- User of Leidos Financial and Business Development systems including Costpoint, Insight, OAC, and WinIT
- Knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing concepts
- Data/configuration management experience
- Working knowledge of government accounting regulations (CAS, FAR, GAAP)
