Job Description:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern
Our intern program is tailored to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited university. The internship runs for 10 months. Working hours can be a minimum of 24 hours up to 40 hours per week, dependent on the intern’s availability. The goal of the Huntsman Intern Program is to provide a structured program that will equip interns with the skills and experience to help prepare for a successful career.
Role Overview:
As an FP&A Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting business entities across the region. Working under the guidance of the FP&A Manager, you will assist in essential tasks such as financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and contributing to process improvement efforts.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial data.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing data.
- Support month-end management reporting processes and analysis
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends and provide insights.
- Participate in regular business-driven meetings to observe and contribute.
- Work with team members to identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing solutions.
- Help maintain and update financial models and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to process improvement projects.
- Support compliance efforts by contributing to organizational regulations, SOX, and Internal Audit controls.
Qualifications:
- Current student of Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of study
- Excellent proficiency of English (B2+), both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Self-starter
- Excellent team player mindset.
