SUMMARY: The Financial Planner partners closely with the Sales Team and Advisor to understand the prospective or incoming client’s needs, and coordinates with integrated services, including tax and investments, to complete the financial planning deliverables integral to their onboarding and ongoing advisory relationship. These deliverables include personalized planning proposals and customized, comprehensive financial plans. Participation in client presentations or conversations regarding the advice provided, upon request. Key skills include gathering and analyzing information, developing or building upon recommendations from the Sales Team and Advisors, and creating well-crafted and detailed financial planning advice documentation. An ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and organized, a natural collaborator, and communicates clearly. The Financial Planner is a critical team player in fulfilling the Allworth value proposition for our valued clients.
The Financial Planner works actively as part of a cross-functional, centralized support team to: (1) Partner closely with the Sales Team and Allworth Advisor to understand client financial planning needs and recommendations; (2) Coordinates with integrated services to gather and analyze the necessary information for client financial planning deliverables; and (3) creates the required deliverable for the client, including personalized proposals and full financial plans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Partner with Sales Team and Advisors on client needs (25%)

- Utilizing a well-documented process, communicate with the Sales Team and Advisors about prospective or incoming client needs
- Help develop or build upon recommendations provided by the Sales Team and Advisors for each client case
- Work with the Onboarding Team to gather and organize any client documentation necessary to the process
2. Collaborate with integrated services on specific advice components (25%)
- Coordinate with the Tax, Estate Planning, Insurance and Investment teams on the individual components of the financial planning deliverable
- Gather and analyze the information provided to ensure it meets the client’s needs, and summarize or build upon each module as needed
- Manage the Wealth Planning Opportunity in Salesforce (client CRM) to ensure client deliverables are ready for each appropriate step of the onboarding process, such as proposal meetings
3. Create client financial planning deliverables (40%)
- Complete financial planning deliverables, including personalized planning proposals and customized, comprehensive financial plans
- Work within approved financial planning software, including eMoney and MoneyGuidePro (MGP), to create these financial planning deliverables
- Maintain superior and up-to-date knowledge of financial planning guidelines, best practices and policies
- Adhere to best-in-class response and turnaround times throughout the onboarding process and beyond
4. Client presentations and conversations (10%)
- As requested, join the Sales Team and Advisor in prospective or incoming client presentations or conversations about proposed advice
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year degree in finance, financial planning, economics or related
- 5+ years of financial planning or related support experience
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or similar designations strongly preferred
- Proficiency in using financial planning software, preferably eMoney or MGP
- Client service or relationship management experience a plus
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM
- Top-notch collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Well organized and with excellent attention to detail, including basic proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Must be in good compliance standing with all rules, regulations and policies
SALARY: Base salary + target bonus paid quarterly.
