PayJoy Lock is the core moat of PayJoy's business, a proprietary security stack running across the world's largest emerging market device fleet.
The Senior Lock Operations Manager will be responsible for building and leading PayJoy’s global Lock Operations function, turning ad hoc takedowns into a systematic, tooling driven, and technically integrated program that measurably reduces lock exploit losses. This role owns the global strategy and roadmap, governs the team’s work across Fraud, Risk, Engineering, and Legal, and is the primary technical partner feeding ground and online intelligence back to the Fraud team. The Senior Manager also builds and develops a team of two Specialists and one Analyst while staying hands on with the highest impact takedowns.
Key Responsabilities:
Own the global Lock Operations strategy and tool takedown roadmap.
Govern and coordinate lock exploit work across Fraud, Risk, Engineering, and Legal.
Quantify impact through field disruption and value at risk protected.
Serve as the primary technical partner to the Fraud team on ground and online intelligence.
Manage and develop the Tools Specialist, Takedown Specialist, and Analyst while staying hands on
Qualifications:
5+ years in fintech, consumer lending, or fraud and risk operations, ideally with exposure to more than one country or market.
Hands-on experience using tooling, automation, or AI to scale an operation, for example scrapers, data pipelines, dashboards, or AI-assisted detection
A track record of reducing fraud or exploit driven losses through operational change, not just analysis, and comfortable owning a return on investment case.
Confident, credible stakeholder management: able to lead and drive conversations across risk, fraud, legal, and engineering teams, and comfortable pushing back when needed.
Desirable: prior people management experience and Spanish or Portuguese fluency.
