The Financial Operations Officer partners closely with Finance Operation Lead to manage Finance Operations, including financial reporting, maintaining accounting records and controls to reduce risk, improve accuracy, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards for legal entities in the market.
This role should be able demonstrate effective collaboration and communication abilities when engaging with Pfizer's accounting process Centers of Excellence (COEs) and hubs, ensuring that deliverables consistently meet established standards for timeliness, quality, and full compliance. Furthermore, adopts a proactive approach in cultivating and maintaining effective professional relationships, skillfully integrating shared services into local accounting functions to uphold the highest standards of statutory compliance, as well as precise accounting and management reporting.
This role involves partnering and collaborating with teams beyond finance, including logistics, fleet, enabling functions, and regional colleagues, to identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement and increased operating expense efficiency.
The position requires the capability to operate effectively in changing environments and with incomplete information, in order to achieve operational and financial preparedness for any initiative.
The role will participate in regional or cross-market projects and initiatives.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY
This role responsibilities are as follows:
- Handles Finance Operation which includes Treasury, Source to Pay and Financial reporting, collaborate with other Finance Operation colleagues, maintain company accounts and financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting and auditing policies.
- Attends and engage directly with customers and business partners (internal and external) on regular, complex activities, and requirements, delivering accurate financial and accounting analysis for external auditors and corporate audit.
- Analyze financial data, generate and review financial reports required from the market and other and various accounting schedules.
- Provide guidance on proper accounting treatment (based on Pfizer global policy, accounting standards and tax regulations), market policies and procedures including supporting documents and analysis
- Supports Finance Operation Lead in handling Finance Operation and system concerns/issues and implementation of resolution/action items.
- Assists Finance Operation Lead for Finance Operation annual budget exercise and quarterly analysis of budget vs. actual.
- Attends to internal and external reportorial requirements including coordination with Pfizer colleagues/entities to facilitate finalization and meet reportorial deadlines ( internal and external)
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and related internal control documentation, supporting internal and external audits.
- Assists/Lead continuous improvement projects, maintain relationships with serviced groups, oversee significant elements of the month-end close process, and perform local statutory analytical reviews.
- Provide support related to acquisitions or divestitures, participate in special projects, engage in initiatives and other tasks beyond existing roles and responsibilities.
- Attend/participate to various CSR program of the company.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years' experience in the field of General Accounting and with SAP system knowledge
- Graduate of Accounting or related field
- Knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suites and SAP System
- Good communication skill
- Good planning and organizational skills

- Certified Public Accountant
