Job Summary 

The Financial Markets Reporting Director oversees the company’s financial markets reporting including compliance with public company listing and regulatory bodies, corporate governance, and board reporting, while driving ESG strategy and Enterprise Risk Management activities. This role serves as a key partner to executive leadership and the Board, leading the disclosure committee and collaborating with Investor Relations to ensure financial performance, strategic initiatives, and growth prospects are communicated with accuracy and strategic impact.      

Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and the Investor Relations team to ensure the accuracy of strategic messaging, and comprehensive risk disclosure within the Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A). 
  • Lead the Risk and Sustainability Committee including reporting to the Committee and the Board of directors. This includes working with business leaders to develop the key business risks.
  • Responsible for supporting ESG strategy, and leading communications and reporting
  • Manage governance initiatives and action plans for the Governance and Sustainability Committee, including the preparation and review of quarterly regulatory updates and annual summary memos aligned with current proxy guidance. 
  • Responsible for leading the disclosure committee.  This includes ensuring disclosures are meeting current regulations, are accurate and timely. This includes Annual and Interim Reports, Information Circular, Annual Information Form, BGSI Press Releases, and other TSX and SEC filings.
  • Responsible for providing support to the Board of Directors in corporate governance responsibilities, including preparation of financial reports, analyses, and updates to the Board and relevant committees
  • Collaborate with the financial reporting team to ensure adoption of new accounting policies.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field required and CPA designation
  • 10+ Years in increasingly responsible roles in finance leadership positions 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing industry 
  • Excellent written and oral skills, both in presentation and development of materials; ability to present and influence credibly at all levels in an organization
  • Excellent computer skills including experience utilizing Workday Finance; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.

Compensation Details:

Additional Job Description

$160,000 - $180,000 / Year
Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 
Supplemental Pay: 
This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives

Skills Required
