Key Outputs
• Set financial targets for business units
• Partner with functional heads, providing financial and business support to ensure alignment with strategic financial targets
• Identify and oversee the implementation of innovation, systems and process improvements in all functions to deliver on group targets and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Oversee the business planning process and monitoring of the plan versions against actual performance.
• Monitor and highlight anomalies of the related cash flow contributors within the respective areas.
• Deliver insurance information.
• Ensure audit findings are investigated and rectified/implemented promptly.
• Development and implementation of governance policies and procedures in line with group policies/ frameworks
• Adherence to financial governance and controls across the business
• Monitor tax compliance and identify possible risks
• Ensure internal and external audits are executed on time and in full to group standards.
• Tight cash control & Ensure cash collections are maximised
• Visible to the operational business units for on site support, training and guidance
• Training and Development of financial Staff
• Attendance at required meetings
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial report
• Prepare/Review and approval of general ledger recons
• Perform Analytical Review and profit analysis on an on-going basis
• Prepare annual financial statements / audit pack
• Prepare tax computations / returns
• Monthly payroll review
• Prepare cash and profit forecasts
• Review and advise on stock and WIP levels
• Risk management across the business, including Raising concerns where necessary
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Chartered accountant (CA), or on route to CA or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years in a financial management role
• Sound MS Office experience
• SAP experience will be an advantage
