Steel Point seeking a Financial Management System Requirements Support professional to provide business process analysis, requirements management, governance support, and process improvement within a federal government environment. The individual will work across the enterprise to identify, analyze, document, and improve financial management business processes and requirements while coordinating with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and develop innovative solutions.

The position will support the management of the Financial Management (FM) governance process, including requirements intake, prioritization, stakeholder coordination, business case development, and end-to-end project tracking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work across the enterprise to identify, document, and maintain a comprehensive inventory of Financial Management (FM) business processes.

  • Analyze existing FM business processes to identify gaps, redundancies, conflicts, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop recommendations to improve business processes and optimize the customer experience.

  • Identify and propose innovative solutions that leverage existing financial management system capabilities.

  • Maintain a centralized repository of FM business processes and ensure documentation remains accurate and current.

  • Manage the established FM governance process, ensuring new requests are appropriately evaluated, assessed, prioritized, and assigned to the appropriate FM divisions.

  • Coordinate with enterprise stakeholders throughout the end-to-end requirements management lifecycle.

  • Capture, document, track, and report on requirements submitted through the FM governance process.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to develop and submit Lean Business Cases supporting proposed initiatives and improvements.

  • Lead research activities and conduct stakeholder interviews to gather and validate business requirements.

  • Document and analyze requirements, including data inputs, data outputs, business processes, system capabilities, and existing data challenges.

  • Identify opportunities for business process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.

  • Work with technical and business stakeholders to translate organizational needs into clear, actionable requirements.

  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements based on documented requirements and stakeholder feedback.

  • Track all assigned projects, requirements, and initiatives within the agency's enterprise JIRA application.

  • Provide regular status updates, reporting, and coordination across stakeholders and FM leadership.

  • Ensure requirements and project documentation are maintained in accordance with established governance and contract requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience with business process analysis, requirements management, or financial management systems.

  • Experience documenting and analyzing business processes, workflows, requirements, and system capabilities.

  • Experience gathering requirements through stakeholder interviews, research, and analysis.

  • Experience identifying process inefficiencies and developing recommendations for improvement.

  • Experience managing requirements through a structured governance or intake process.

  • Strong understanding of business requirements, data inputs/outputs, process dependencies, and system interactions.

  • Experience tracking projects, requirements, or initiatives using JIRA or a similar project management platform.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, technical writing, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across a large enterprise environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple requirements and projects simultaneously while maintaining accurate documentation and status reporting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting NGA, Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or other federal government programs.

  • Experience supporting financial management systems or federal financial management programs.

  • Experience developing Lean Business Cases or similar business justification documents.

  • Experience establishing or managing enterprise governance processes.

  • Experience with business process reengineering, Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, or process optimization.

  • Experience identifying and implementing technology-enabled process improvements.

  • Experience with enterprise requirements management and project tracking in JIRA.

  • Familiarity with federal government financial management policies, processes, and systems.

The salary range represents a general guideline; however, Steel Point Solutions considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Salary Range
$85,000—$110,000 USD
