seeking a Financial Management System Engineering Support professional to provide technical and analytical support for financial management systems, data architecture, governance, and compliance within a federal government environment. The individual will support the development and maintenance of financial management system architecture, data strategies, and governance frameworks while ensuring alignment with established business processes, IT audit requirements, and applicable federal and Intelligence Community (IC) policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and document the Financial Management (FM) system architecture, including current systems, tools, data flows, interfaces, and relationships.
Document and maintain the organization's current-state (AS-IS) financial management environment and supporting system architecture.
Analyze and document changes to financial management systems in accordance with established business processes and organizational requirements.
Ensure financial management system documentation remains accurate, current, and configuration-management (CM) controlled.
Support compliance with IT audit requirements and applicable federal government and Intelligence Community rules, regulations, standards, and policies.
Develop and maintain the Financial Management Data Strategy and Data Access Policy.
Establish and support a comprehensive Master Data Management (MDM) Program.
Develop and implement a Data Governance framework, including the creation of a governance charter, processes, roles, and responsibilities.
Support the establishment and ongoing operations of a Data Governance Forum.
Coordinate with financial management, IT, data management, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to ensure effective data governance and system integration.
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, accessibility, consistency, security, and overall financial management system performance.
Maintain documentation and deliverables in accordance with established government and contract requirements.
Experience supporting financial management systems, enterprise systems engineering, data architecture, or financial data management.
Experience developing and maintaining system architecture and data flow documentation.
Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and data access policies.
Experience working within structured business processes and configuration management environments.
Familiarity with federal government IT audit requirements and applicable federal policies and regulations.
Strong understanding of data management principles, system interfaces, and enterprise data relationships.
Strong analytical, technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders in a government environment.
Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or other federal government financial management programs.
Experience establishing or managing a Data Governance Program or Data Governance Forum.
Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
Experience developing enterprise data strategies, data access policies, and governance frameworks.
Familiarity with federal financial management systems, audit controls, and compliance requirements.
Experience working in a configuration-managed environment.

The salary range represents a general guideline; however, Steel Point Solutions considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
