Mayvin is seeking a Financial Management Specialist to support a broader mission within a Federal Law Enforcement agency in Washington, D.C., by providing expert administrative and financial support. The Financial Specialist is responsible for tracking financial obligations incurred by service requests to Partner Agencies, coordinating financial tracking for the Program with the Office of Financial Management (OFM), and processing payments to Partner Agencies.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an active Secret clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, create, format, and edit spreadsheets, presentations, and charts
- Track expenditures incurred in connection with the Partner Agency’s provision of services to ensure compliance with the Anti-Deficiency Act, 31 U.S.C. § 1341
- Assist the Partner Agency in securing prior, explicit approval for any expenditure on equipment used to support requests where reimbursement will be sought
- Assist the Partner Agency with submitting invoices within any deadline established by the MOU, to ensure timely payment
- Review invoices for accuracy and ensure they are consistent with the format for record keeping
- Support OFM in the processing of payments to Partner Agencies through internal financial and payment tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
- Minimum of five years of relevant financial management experience
- Availability to work late evenings, weekends, or holidays as the mission requires.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build positive partner relationships.
- Familiarity with law enforcement operations and terminology.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in partner engagement, agreements, or contract support
- Prior Financial Management experience supporting a Government Agency
