Zinia is the new checkout lending platform of the Santander Group. Zinia makes shopping simple, offering the possibility of splitting payments into interest-free installments in a fast and transparent way, powering merchants across Europe using technology from Openbank and Santander Consumer Finance.

 This is an exciting opportunity to make your contribution over a growing market within the business areas of lending, cobranded credit cards and buy-now-pay-later with a solid expansion across different countries with global leading merchants.

 Zinia leverages the technological resources and expertise of Openbank, the digital-native bank of the Santander Group, which is currently rolling out its international expansion plans. Through a simple and flexible banking model, Openbank offers customers the possibility to manage their finances on the website or app.

Mission and responsibilities: 

As a Financial Business Manager, you will drive Zinia business growth by providing financial advisory to business team offering tailored banking products to Ecommerce customers. The role focuses on providing financial support on new business opportunities, ensuring the long term business profitability and cost control.

  • Provide financial analysis when negotiating the deals and recommend appropiate banking products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and follow up their financial programs.
  • Performance monitoring: Develop and maintain key performance indicators to measure and track business results in Zinia.
  • Cost control and Optimitation:Identifying areas for cost reduction and improve the efficiency of business processes. Implement cost control initiatives to enhance profitability, and support implementation of best practices in operational efficiencies.
  • BTB Business case development and support: Responsible for creating detailed business cases that support decision making strategies with main products and business partners.

To be successful in the role you must have: 

  • +9 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor´s degree in finance and Master´s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience with financial software tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data driven decision making.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
