Supporting the corporate team in its day-to-day business by providing, developing and enhancing the quality of credit decision management across business development departments and data analysis across credit portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis regarding transactions on credit facility applications received by the Department. Substantiate recommendations for use by Bank stakeholders to make decisions on new loans/investments, renewal, amendment and structuring of existing loans/investments.
- In-depth analysis of available data, in a manner that develops effective and efficient risk identification, assessment and measurement, on all credit decisions.
- Provide decision-makers with accurate numbers, information, data and analysis to ensure sound credit decisions that achieve the Bank's objectives.
- Review/analyze credit information and any matters related to credit reports, so that they include studying the conditions of the economic sector / financial solvency and continuity / status of mortgages and guarantors etc.
- Prepare detailed credit reports on the position of borrowers, including their credit status, repayment capabilities, potential risk of default, and interest of establishing/maintaining relationships with them etc. Submit observations to the direct supervisor.
- Provide all data and reports to relationship managers and direct manager as soon as requested for the purposes of facilitating the decision-making process and developing recommendations.
- Contribute to the analysis of estimated cashflows by preparing necessary reports and providing the direct manager with all necessary data and information.
- Inform the direct supervisor of all developments, events and economic reports on the status of market sectors, credit portfolios, clients.
- Provide the necessary support for all projects related to companies’ business, in addition to providing those concerned with any data / reports / information needed.
Requirements
Skills and competencies:
- University degree in Business Administration / Economics / Banking and Finance / Statistics or any related discipline.
- Work experience of at least (1) year in the field of credit/data analysis in banks or related institutions.
- Possess analytical abilities that can use the best statistical and mathematical tools in addition to good abilities in quantitative calculations and knowledge of (stress tests, Basel, credit / market / operational / liquidity risk)
- Full knowledge of English.
- Competent use of computers and handling various application systems.
- Good knowledge of services and products provided by the Bank.
- Full knowledge of the policies and procedures that govern work and their internal and external updates.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate and interact well with others.
- Ability to plan and organize.
- Analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
Skills Required
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Banking and Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline
- At least one year of experience in credit or data analysis within banking or related institutions
- Analytical ability using statistical and mathematical tools
- Knowledge of stress testing and credit, market, operational, and liquidity risk
- Full knowledge of English
- Competent computer skills and ability to use various application systems
- Knowledge of banking services and products
