Work Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime and occasional weekends as required)
Pay Scale: $83,000 – $95,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Job Summary: Primary responsible for managing the company's finances. Including record keeping and financial reporting. Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting. This position will also be responsible for maintaining efficient internal controls, adherence to accounting policies and other company policies and procedures. Responsible for the supervision of accounting staff. Responsible for A/P and A/R.

Primary Job Function:

  • Have complete and thorough knowledge of all accounting functions and procedures
  • Oversee day-to-day functions of the accounting team
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable and Payable
  • Accurate and timely financial and management reporting as directed
  • Proficient / knowledgeable with all computer software systems used for the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and other accounting analysis that may be required by management
  • Accumulate job cost data from weekly payroll reports, materials, and subcontract billings to prepare weekly cost reports for each project
  • Maintain all company operating, payroll, savings and investment banking accounts include deposits, disbursements and balancing.
  • Process and issue all accounts payable
  • Accrue, prepare, and remit appropriate sales taxes due
  • Perform fiscal year end accounting close with CPA
  • Process employee year end W2's and 1099 forms and distribute to employee/payee and appropriate federal and state agencies
  • Verify subcontractors and vendors meet all requirements of contact agreement prior to any payments
  • Maintain accounting records and files on all projects
  • Interface with project manager to accurately charge and code invoices to proper job cost and general ledger account
  • Thorough knowledge of the procedure manual
  • Keep current / maintain the financial procedure manual
  • Implement projects as designated
  • Develop efficient workflows for Financial Accounting department
  • Issue Financial Policies as it relates to purchasing, expensing, etc.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on projects
  • Monitor daily cash balances to cover obligations and maximize earnings
  • Prepare monthly profit and loss, statement of cash flows and balance sheet reports
  • Complete federal and state payroll tax returns and necessary deposits
  • Work with owner and managers to assist with company operation and profitability
  • Develop, monitor, analyze and key business performance metrics
  • Other duties as assigned
