ObjectivesThe Business Controller for Baltics and Country Officer for Latvia and Lithuania, serves as the financial steward and governance leader across the Baltic operations, ensuring robust financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic business partnership. This role develops and implements financial processes, standards, and controls that guide the entire finance function across Baltic countries, while providing analytical insights that directly influence operational decision-making. The position acts as the primary liaison between local operations and regional headquarters, translating corporate strategies into actionable financial frameworks and ensuring alignment with group policies and local regulatory requirements.
Summary of Responsibilities· Lead comprehensive financial planning and budgeting processes across Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia operations
· Oversee accounting management and coordinate with external partners to ensure accurate financial reporting
· Conduct performance monitoring and financial analysis to support business decision-making
· Maintain governance frameworks, compliance protocols, and internal control systems
· Manage country statutory external audit processes and regulatory reporting requirements
· Serve as Country Officer ensuring legal entities operate within local regulations and group policies
· Provide financial business partnership to divisional leaders and support commercial initiatives
· Coordinate with regional and Group finance functions to ensure consistent standards and reporting
Scope of decision makingThis role has authority to develop and implement financial processes, standards, and procedures that guide finance operations across the Baltic region. The position makes significant decisions regarding financial controls, compliance frameworks, and reporting methodologies that affect departmental operations and influence business outcomes. Decision-making encompasses budget approvals within defined parameters, selection of external service providers, and determination of financial policies that ensure regulatory compliance while supporting business objectives across both country operations.
Experience and Qualifications· University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
· 5+ years of relevant financial experience with demonstrated expertise in financial management
· Professional accounting qualification or equivalent specialized financial credentials preferred
Skills and Capabilities· Strong accounting knowledge with comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks
· Experience working effectively in multinational or matrix organizational structures
· Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in financial systems and data interpretation
· Ability to explain complex financial concepts and build consensus with stakeholders across different organizational levels
Gross salary: from 4500 eur + extra benefits
