Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuously improve processes at the interface between finance and operations.
- Ensure proper general ledger account and cost center usage when coding for factory purchase requisitions.
- Drive / lead cross-functional budgeting and spend reviews.
- Ensure compliance with CAPEX budget and support CAPEX requesters with profitability calculations of investments and challenge assumptions.
- Lead the capital asset tagging process and fixed asset audits as needed.
- Review production order variances with operations teams and help drive to root cause.
- Perform and/or support monthly costing process and perform ad-hoc new material costing requests.
- Closely monitor the production inventory value and reach times.
- Support the operations team with the inventory count.
- Implement and track finance relevant KPIs that complement existing operational KPIs to detect unrealized efficiencies, cost savings potentials and opportunities for productivity improvements.
- Maintain labor/overhead/machine rates for production routings.
- Support the finance team with month-end close processes as needed.
- Support the annual budget and mid-term planning process as well as monthly P&L forecasts for operations.
- Perform and/or support make-or-buy calculations, and ad-hoc financial analytics as requested by executive and leadership team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Finance or Business
- Advanced MS Excel user
- Business mindset, interest in business beyond the numbers
- Strong communication skills
- Very proactive, self-motivated and process oriented
- Hands-on mentality
Preferred:
- SAP knowledge
- At least 5 years of experience in a Financial role in an operations environment
- Continuous Improvement mindset / certification
- Experience working for an international company
