About the Role
As a Financial Controller, you will be a key player in managing the integrity of our financial systems and reporting. You will oversee all accounting activities, ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, and provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management and statutory reports
- Perform variance analysis to explain deviations from budget and forecast
- Deliver KPI reporting and support business projects with financial insights
- Lead the planning and forecasting processes across all functions
- Manage cash flow planning and drive working capital improvements
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and internal control frameworks
- Oversee tax filings (CIT, VAT, etc.) and compliance for Dutch entities
- Coordinate the external audit process and liaise with auditors
- Drive process improvements through automation and digitization
- Collaborate with Dutch, Swiss, and US finance teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Accounting, or Finance (HBO+)
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in accounting or financial controlling, ideally in a production environment
- Experience with D365 (Dynamics) is a plus
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, cost accounting, and auditing standards
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Accurate, structured, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Experience with automated and digitized accounting processes
- A true team player with a hands-on, committed attitude
- Fluent in spoken and written English
