Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in London. The Financial Controller will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of Viva.com, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This position requires a strong understanding of the payments industry and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including FCA requirements.
• Be the first point of contact and fostering strong relationships with the group finance team
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that optimise financial performance.
• Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Production of the annual financial statements.
• Identify and undertake relevant financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to mitigate financial risk.
• Liaise with external partners including auditors, tax advisors, banking providers
• Utilise financial software and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and group
• Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Continual review of processes and looking for efficiency improvements particularly utilising AI based solutions
• Ability to identify repetitive tasks and replace with AI tools

• Recognised accounting qualification is a must accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably within the payments or fintech industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, particularly FCA guidelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., Microsoft Azure, ERP systems).  Working knowledge of PowerBI a distinct advantage.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
