DataSnipper,  recognized as the fastest growing tech company in the Netherlands (according to Deloitte Fast50), is on an exciting growth trajectory and is looking for a Financial Controller with an ownership mindset to join our expanding Accounting & Control team in Amsterdam. In this pivotal role, you will own, build and enhance financial processes at DataSnipper, contributing to setting up our Accounting & Controlling operations as we scale. 

The ideal candidate is eager to take on new topics for the first time with the flexible mindset required to operate successfully in a dynamic scale-up environment. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Accounting & Control.

What you will do

• Manage and prepare financial reports, such as the monthly management reports, and full-year financial statements, in accordance with IFRS 

• Collaborate with financial administrators on the customer invoicing and supplier bookkeeping processes 

• Own the financial controlling processes of our US entity 

• Contribute to the setup of our financial process, always with scalability top of mind. Processes may include treasury management, tax management, billing and dunning processes, etc. 

• Contribute to setting up internal control frameworks for related processes 

• Contribute to the first-time adoption of IFRS 

• Manage the audit process for your scope of work 

• Ensure tax and corporate compliance, with the support of our advisors 

• Perform month-end close activities 

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in financial control, accounting or similar. CA/RA/CPA or similar is a plus, but not required. 

• More importantly than experience, the right mindset is key for this role; are you a curious person who is keen to dive into topics for the first time and grow? 

• Experience with setting up efficient financial processes, or the right mindset to do so. 

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence change. 

• Outstanding business acumen and commercial awareness. 

• Proactive mindset, ability to self-start and driven to succeed. Ownership mindset with the ability to work effectively in a scale-up environment. 

• A forward-thinking approach, ensuring implemented solutions are scalable for the evolving needs and growth of the business. 

• Technical skills: Solid understanding of IFRS, GAAP.
