JOB PROFILE: Controller
JOB LOCATION: Carrollton, Texas
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Controller will oversee financial reporting, budget consolidation, and performance analysis for multiple assets. This role provides strategic guidance on financial planning, reporting, and internal controls.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary Scope: Under the supervision of the CFO, organizes and directs all general accounting activities and financial oversight for Northwest Parkway (located in Denver, Colorado) as well as VINCI Highways USA (Located in Dallas, TX) which involves limited transactions, but require end-to-end accounting, reporting, and compliance:
Key Functions:
- Administers preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and performs analysis.
- Supervise reconciliation of all general ledger control accounts
- Supervise monthly cash reconciliation
- Review and analyze AP and AR aging balances
- Supervise fixed asset inventory control accounting.
- Responsible for scheduling and leading the external audit along with assisting with internal audits.
- Assist the CFO for creating, maintaining, and analyzing the budget
- Evaluate, assess, and recommend corporate process improvements: purchase order process, approvals, payments, etc.
- Monitors current department accounting systems and procedures and revises as required.
- Ensures the Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, and Cash Management processes are adhered to and in compliance with corporate policies.
- Prepares required internal, and external reports which include filing escheatment and responding to inquiries.
- Lead potential accounting software migration and enhancement process
- Assist with maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting principles
- Keeps abreast of current accounting trends, practices, and developments in the profession including governmental accounting standards and regulations, GAAP.
- Lead, manage, (and develop) the general accounting staff which is currently outsourced
- Participates in regularly scheduled managers’ meetings
- Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

- Additional Scope: The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, budget consolidation, and performance analysis of four VINCI Highways assets—one located in Ohio (Ohio River Bridge) and three in Canada (Confederation Bridge, Regina Bypass, and Fredericton-Moncton Highway). Each of these assets has a Financial Manager or CFO in place. This role will challenge and support these financial leaders on their budgeting and reporting processes, consolidating actuals and budgets to provide clear and actionable insights to headquarters.

- Highly Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) – seven (7) years general accounting experience
- Two (2) years of experience as a manager, or demonstration of continual progression in responsibilities
