Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, facilitating audits, and improving finance processes as we migrate to the Trip.com finance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the migration of finance operations to the Trip.com finance systems, collaborating with both local and group finance teams.
- Identify and implement improvements to finance processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the main point of contact for local audits, coordinating with relevant team members to ensure timely and complete responses to audit requests.
- Contribute to the group audit process, ensuring that all requirements are met and the audit is completed on schedule.
- Take ownership of the annual report, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and timely publication.
- Assume responsibility for specific month-end close tasks, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct monthly consolidation and reporting of financial performance to provide insights into the company’s financial status.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations to confirm accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a financial controller role or, alternatively, experience working at one of the Big Four firms.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and local audit processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently, quickly taking action on tasks that require immediate attention
