Job Description
We are looking for a Financial Controller to join the Group Financial Planning & Analysis team in Brussels.
Within the team, you will be responsible for the management of the standard costing process and the analysis and reporting of the new commercial supply chain of the group. You will also play an important role in driving improvement actions and change management on the financial planning and analysis process of the commercial supply chain.
Main responsibilities
- Financial analysis and reporting on the commercial supply chain.
- Responsible for the standard costing process and maintenance of the standard cost parameters for the commercial value chain.
- Review and maintain cost estimates, analysis of actual costs versus standard costs.
- Improvement projects related to the costing process, variance analysis and reporting.
- Provide analytical support to other departments on an on-going basis. Support ad-hoc reporting requirements.
- Participate in the roll-out of a new ERP system, linked to the deployment of the new commercial supply-chain of the group.
- As part of the Group FP&A team, perform some controlling tasks on the group and R&D cost centers, as well as preparing some group commercial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in economics or finance
- Approx. 3 years of experience within a financial controlling department in an international company
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, preferably BE-GAAP and IFRS, experience in product cost analysis, highly analytical with a flair for numbers and you have a good knowledge and understanding of financial topics
- Fluent in English + other local languages (French /Dutch).
- Global mindset, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
