Essential functions:
Project Financing & Closings
- Manage and execute financial closings for multiple real estate development projects, including construction, permanent, and bridge financing.
- Coordinate debt and equity closings involving LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, soft financing, grants, and other public/private funding sources.
- Prepare and review closing checklists, sources and uses, pro formas, and settlement statements.
- Ensure all financial conditions precedent are satisfied prior to closing.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for lenders, investors, syndicators, attorneys, accountants, title companies, and public agencies throughout the closing process.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Construction and Accounting teams to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Track and manage closing timelines, deliverables, and post-closing obligations.
Compliance & Documentation
- Review loan documents, partnership agreements, regulatory agreements, and investor requirements for financial accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain complete and organized closing files and ensure proper handoff to Accounting and Property Management teams post-closing.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Support underwriting and financial modeling efforts related to project financing.
- Reconcile final sources and uses at closing and assist with audit and cost certification processes as needed.
- Prepare internal summaries and reports for leadership on closing status and financing structures.
Education and Experience Requirement(s):
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in real estate finance, development or closings.
- Hands-on experience with complex financing structures.
- Strong understanding of real estate loan and partnership documentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred
- Experience with tax-exempt bond financing and public agency funding.
- Familiarity with cost certification and investor audits.
- Experience working with government agencies and mission-driven or nonprofit housing organizations.

Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements are less than 10% but must be flexible to travel periodically.
