Department OverviewThe Business Operations team is responsible for overseeing the financial performance of various service delivery organizations. This function's objectives are to manage the organization’s operating budgets, assess team productivity, identify opportunities to improve financial leverage and manage capital projects.
Job Description

The role of the Financial Business Operations Consultant is to establish and oversee processes to ensure the effective management of department headcount, requisitions, and operating budgets in support of the Video and Software Services leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, and V&S leaders to accomplish key tasks.

  • Manage the requisition approval process and provide headcount forecasts to Finance.

  • Monitor attrition levels and trends across the organization.

  • Track and analyze the financial performance of various functions and operating units.

  • Partner with Finance on the month-end close duties, i.e., reconcile, sign off, and create journal adjustments for all departments within the VSS org.

  • Collaborate with Finance to forecast V&S operating expenses (i.e., CV); align with key stakeholders within Business Finance teams as required regarding changes to CV.

  • Reconcile variances in both headcount and operating expenses relative to plan.

  • Conducts various financial analyses as required - M&A integrations, P&L allocations, structure changes, business cases related to capital or other investments, etc.

  • Partner with Finance to develop the annual budget for V&S organization and manage budget revisions and structure changes that might occur throughout the year.

  • Delivers executive briefings to senior leadership at regular intervals.

Skills:

  • Experience with Greenfield financial systems (i.e., general ledger, accounts payable, etc) and other financial reporting tools, including Smartview.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and very detail-oriented.

  • Solid planning and analysis skills.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.

  • 6+ years of relevant related Financial Business Operations experience.
