Our Promise to Our Teammates: Truliant strives to provide all teammates with an enjoyable place to work where they feel valued, empowered and rewarded for all that they do.

Why this role matters

At Truliant Federal Credit Union, our financial services team helps members make confident decisions about their future. As a Financial Associate, you’ll support both our financial advisors and an assigned book of investment clients, helping members identify goals, navigate options, and receive the service and follow up they deserve.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, staying organized in a regulated environment, and contributing to meaningful financial outcomes for members.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll help keep the investment program moving forward by supporting advisor activity, serving client needs, coordinating next steps, and maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll balance member service, licensed responsibilities, documentation, and collaboration with advisors, support partners, vendors, and Credit Union team members.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Follow up on appointment leads and client service requests, prequalify prospects, and coordinate meetings or preparation for assigned advisors.

  • Support financial proposal preparation, client reviews, distributions, transfers, trade order placement, and required documentation within compliance guidelines.

  • Build ongoing relationships with assigned clients while using systems such as UNIO CRM, DocuSign, Microsoft Office, and remote meeting tools to create a consistent member experience.

Beyond that, your work will include helping execute marketing plan activities, partnering across the administrative team, attending required trainings, and contributing wherever support is needed to strengthen the overall investment program.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who brings financial services experience, strong follow through, comfort with licensed responsibilities, and a genuine commitment to serving members well. This role is a great fit if you can stay organized, communicate clearly, and handle details with care while working in a compliance focused environment.

Required Experience:

  • 1+ years of financial services or banking experience.

Required Skills:

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to communicate with members, advisors, vendors, senior managers, and front line employees.

  • Ability to follow securities, insurance, Credit Union, broker dealer, FINRA, CFS, and ethical market conduct requirements while maintaining accurate client files and documentation.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, with the ability to use investment tools, CRM systems, DocuSign, WebEx, and conference calling technology effectively.

  • Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, and ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision while shifting priorities when needed.

  • Ability to support client service requests, trade order placement, transfers, distributions, reports, and advisor follow up while protecting the Credit Union from compliance or trade related risk.

  • Familiarity with investor programs and a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant’s members.

Education/Certifications:

  • NC Life and Health Insurance License must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

  • FINRA Registration in good standing is required for Series 6 and Series 63, 65, or 66 and Series 7 is required within 90 days of employment for new hires.

You should also be comfortable managing confidential client information, documenting activity carefully, and balancing service, sales support, and compliance expectations in a general office environment.

What sets you apart

You don’t need to check every box, but here’s what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 1+ years of financial client support experience.

  • 1+ years of experience executing licensed transactions.

  • 1+ years of experience with problem resolution.

  • Experience supporting financial advisors, preparing for client reviews, using UNIO CRM, or working within a credit union investment program.

What you’ll get

In this role, you can expect:

  • Purpose driven work that directly supports Truliant members as they plan for financial goals, review options, and move through important financial decisions.

  • A collaborative environment where you’ll work closely with financial advisors, administrative partners, Credit Union staff, and vendor partners to deliver a consistent member experience.

  • Opportunities to deepen your financial services knowledge through required training, compliance education, advisor partnership, and hands on exposure to investment program operations.

  • A culture that values integrity, service, business with responsibility, and long term relationships with members and teammates.

  • The chance to build a strong foundation in licensed financial services support while contributing to the growth and success of Truliant Financial Advisors.
