WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a for a Financial Analyst at our corporate office in Portsmouth, NH. The Financial Analyst will perform quantitative analysis, identify and analyze key KPI and financial performance metrics, assist with the forecasting and budgeting processes, and support complex financial modeling. This role has high visibility and fast career growth potential.
Essential Functions:
- Monthly analysis and reporting of financial results through the review of key financial trends and metrics. Identify key drivers through detailed variance analysis.
- Report, analyze, and interpret financial and operating data for the assigned area. Such reporting, analysis and interpretation may include monthly financial analysis, profitability analysis, regional performance assessments, pricing analysis, cost-volume-profit analysis and any other ad-hoc analysis needed.
- Performance monitoring of assigned area comparing financial targets, historical trends, market measurements, and industry benchmarks.
- Participate in the forecast and budget cycles with a focus on key drivers, trends, and strategies. Identify opportunities for refinement and continual improvement.
- Support models that help with decision making and support cost control initiatives within the assigned area.
- Build relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization to support key business decision making.
- Perform financial projects on an ad hoc basis.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 0-3 years of experience
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Manage time and multitask while staying organized to meet deadlines
- Self-starter, who will take the initiative when needed with problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Working knowledge of general ledger and accounting entries
