Financial Analyst
Collaborate with the Accounting Manager in overseeing the integrity of financial systems including financial reporting, costing, inventory management and system controls in accordance with Linamar Manufacturing procedures. Work with various departments to support financial planning processes. Ensure that company business is recorded in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and IRS regulations.

Performance Expectations
· Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:
o The Global Operating System Plays;
o OHSAS 18001: Health and Safety management system standard;
o ISO 14001: Environmental Management system standard;
o TS 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.
· Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.
· Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
· Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.
· Maintain department 5S requirements.
· Maintain and provide accurate, timely, and reliable financial records and information.
· Conduct studies, which will provide detailed information not supplied by the general accounting system.
· Assist in preparation of one year and five-year budgets annually and forecasts monthly/quarterly.
· Analyze financial data, develop models, and create reports to support decision making
· Supervise the general ledger.
· Maintain fixed asset system by communicating with corporate, vendors, and onsite employees (e.g., engineering, purchasing).
· Work with auditors undertaking year-end audits.
· Develop and maintain cost, profit and estimate data for new and existing products and generate real time reports and trends.
· Supervise the treasury function including equipment financing, cash flow management and all reporting requirements.
· Maintain proper internal control to safeguard all company assets.
· Prepare all tax packages for corporate.
· Work with accounting department to achieve a 3-day month-end close.
· Participation in continuous improvement programs.
· Train other accountants on policies and procedures.
· Adhere to all H&S and environmental laws and procedures.
· Other duties/projects as assigned
Credentials
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
· Previous financial analysis experience in Manufacturing is preferred.
· CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
