IEM is looking for a Full Time- Financial Analyst who supports IEMs internal corporate financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate analysis, corporate reporting, internal cost allocation, financial controls, and compliance. The analyst ensures accurate financial data for leadership decision‑making and maintains the financial integrity of the firm’s internal operations supporting emergency‑management programs.
Primary Location:
- Live anywhere within the United States.
- Work will take place from a personal location and will depend on the need of the project.
Travel Requirements:
- This position may require travel to complete work assignments or attend meetings.
Essential Functions:
- Develop portions of corporate budgets and multi‑period financial forecasts.
- Analyze departmental spending, financial performance, and internal cost allocations across business units and support functions.
- Identify drivers of financial variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Analyze overhead, indirect rates, and shared service costs (G&A, fringe, corporate allocations).
- Prepare internal management reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for business and functional leaders.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and financial explanations.
- Maintain accurate financial data in enterprise systems; collaborate with accounting and operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and applicable federal cost
- Assist in improving financial workflows, controls, and reporting tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related.
- Experience: Two to Five (2 – 5) years of corporate financial analysis or accounting experience including One to Two (1 – 2) years in public accounting.
- Degree Substitution: An additional 2 years of relevant financial analyst experience can be considered in lieu of the degree.
- Strong analytical skills; able to interpret and translate financial results.
- Intermediate modeling and forecasting proficiency.
- Ability to communicate findings to non‑financial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Deltek.
