JOB DESCRIPTION
The Financial Analyst partners with the Plant Controller to support core financial processes, analyze financial performance, and collaborate with plant operations staff. This role provides hands-on experience across accounting, reporting, and operations while building a strong understanding of how financial results connect to day-to-day business activity.
This position is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, takes ownership of their work, and is motivated to learn and grow within a plant finance environment.
Financial Analyst Key Responsibilities:
- Support plant financial operations, including payroll, purchasing, freight, and general ledger accounting.
- Contribute to the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Manage weekly payroll processing for hourly employees, ensuring accuracy through review and coordination with supervisors and Human Resources.
- Partner with plant staff to ensure accurate accounting for purchase requisitions.
- Prepare and analyze daily and weekly operational, labor efficiency, and sales reporting.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable activity; investigate and resolve discrepancies, including goods receipt/invoice receipt balances.
- Support capital project tracking and fixed asset accounting.
- Assist with inventory controls, including physical inventory and ongoing analysis.
- Maintain internal controls and documentation in compliance with SOX requirements.
- Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on responsibilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn and understand underlying processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and advanced analysis functions preferred).
- Experience with SAP, HFM, or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing or the automotive industry is a plus.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
