About The Opportunity
This position will provide financial and analytical support to the ORBIS Strategic Sourcing Group. The individual in this role will work closely with both the Purchasing and Logistics departments and provide financial guidance, reporting, and analysis--- ultimately becoming a trusted business partner for the Strategic Sourcing team. In addition, the role will provide assistance as needed to the Mfg. Finance team and other Finance teams or departments within ORBIS. This position is based in Oconomowoc, with some potential travel to ORBIS suppliers/facilities. An ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, great financial acumen, the ability to learn, a strong work ethic and will actively challenge the status quo. Must have the ability and interest to ultimately transition into a higher-level position within ORBIS.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide effective business and financial analysis to the Strategic Sourcing group and ORBIS leadership
2. Ensure accuracy of financial statements during month-end and year-end closing. Perform general ledger account reconciliations for assigned areas of responsibility.
3. Month end closing journal entries
4. Review and analysis of Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
5. Prepare various financial reports to give the business insight into performance
6. Assist with resolving vendor invoice issues as they arise
7. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and monthly/quarterly financial forecasts
8. Manage standard costing of raw materials
9. Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis
10. Continuously look for ways to simplify, standardize & automate recurring tasks and procedures
11. Other duties as assigned.
