Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Financial Analyst to their Corporate Synergies team in the Philly Metro Region.
Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst supports our Controller with month‑end reporting, financial analysis, and special projects across multiple entities. This role will maintain financial data, assist with statement analysis, and gradually take on building financial models.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with month‑end close and preparation of financial management reports
- Analyze income statements and balance sheets, identifying trends and anomalies
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support ongoing financial workflows
- Learn key accounting workstreams (AR, AP, direct bill, etc.) and understand how transactions impact financial statements
- Partner with the Controller and team to ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly results
- Progress toward handling standard reporting and analysis independently within 3–6 months
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Strong Excel skills and ability to communicate analysis clearly
- Understanding of GAAP and general accounting workflows
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to learn and work independently over time
- Experience with Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar systems is a plus
- Flexibility during month‑end and budget cycles
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–4 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn tools like PowerPoint, Access, or Visio
This range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to performance, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of FRP's total compensation package for employees.
