The Financial Analyst will support business decisions by providing accurate financial data and analysis. This role includes managing reporting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and partnering with teams to improve financial tools and procedures. Key responsibilities involve preparing statements, analyzing trends, and maintaining internal controls. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles are essential.
What You'll Do
Manage closing, accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual processes.
Review account reconciliations, analyze P&L and balance sheets, and establish reserve balances within deadlines.
Partner with departments to implement financial analysis tools and improve reporting procedures.
Apply US GAAP and other accounting standards, ensuring accurate classification and recording of financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with SOX, IFRS, and internal controls; remediate audit gaps promptly.
Support special projects and assist with regulatory documentation and communication as needed.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
3 years of accounting &/or financial analysis experience or; graduate of the 2 year Finance & Accounting Development Program with 1 year outside work experience.
Experience working in an environment requiring analytical response to a variety of business issues.
What Will Set You Apart
Strong analytical abilities and a thorough understanding of GAAP.
Ability to interpret and apply current US GAAP, including accounting for complex transactions and ensuring SOX compliance.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as Hyperion Planner and SAP.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet concurrent deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information across all levels of the organization.
