Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will primarily be responsible for WAM Asia (Revenue and AUM) accounting and reporting processes and controls, supporting the monthly close and regional entries, driving regional projects and initiatives, and coordinating regional efforts on process standardization and documentation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monitoring WAM Asia Accounting and Reporting processes and controls.
• Support in the monthly close for WAM Asia. Process include but not limited to preparation of journal entries, financial statements and Management reports.
• To handle the general office expenses payment and fee receipts in an efficient manner.
• To complete and timely delivery of expenses reporting.
• To provide clerical support to Onshore teams
• Prepare expense allocation calculation.
• Prepare / review fee and debit note invoice to respective parties on timely basis.
• Perform monthly intercompany balances reconciliation.
• Maintain control documentation and prepare audit requests related to internal and external audit requirements
• Be an integral part of regional finance initiatives / projects related to accounting and reporting, including ad hoc business requests.
• Promote a culture of standardization and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a business degree of finance related course
• CPA degree is an advantage, but not required
• Prior experience for over 2 years in a Finance role, insurance or Investments experience would be an advantage.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-performing, and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requests
• Knowledge of general ledger reporting tools and systems
• Extensive experience with MS Excel including working with Macros and other Excel add-ins

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently with less supervision
• Proactive in executing and owning the processes and controls
• Experience in Essbase, Infor and Power BI would be an advantage
• Excels in a team environment interacting with both business and finance colleagues
• Experience in working as an offsite support to business functions
