Responsibilities:
- Administer billing process, including fee reconciliation and client invoicing
- Ensure timely submission of invoices and supporting documentation to client
- Calculate and track monthly revenue based on active contracts and corresponding scope of work
- Facilitate the negotiation of client contracts with the account staff and legal department
- Analyze trends and cultivate mitigation strategies to assure financial prosperity for accounts managed
- Support client reporting, audit requests, and data collection
- Process purchase orders and run financial queries upon request
- Approve time and expense write-offs and follow up on unbilled WIP;
- Advise manager of expenditures
- Distribute outstanding receivables report to management and work with staff to secure payment
- Report commentary to corporate to ensure healthy cash flow
- Coordinate internal financial allocations cross office (domestic and global)
- Review missing time reports weekly and follow up on delinquencies
- Prepare and review staff utilization reports and flag issues for management
- Ensure department compliance with company financial policies (e.g. revenue recognition, job requisitions, time entry, travel and expense, billing, accounts payable, and new business)
- Train account staff on internal finance systems, procedures, and financial project management
- Communicate with clients regarding budgets, billing, and accounts receivable issues
- Works with account team to ensure financial deliverables and reporting are accomplished by deadlines
- Ad hoc requests and projects
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in finance, accounting, and/or related fields
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Well organized with attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to learn
- Experience in agency setting a strong plus
