The Longmont ATLAS location is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to join a family of firms across multiple states with a lot of room for advancement.
OBJECTIVE/FUNCTION:
The Accounting Analyst will work under the supervision of a Director, Manager, and/or CPA, providing internal financial support and analysis for the firm. This role is an onsite position. Although listed for Longmont, we are open to discussing our other locations in the Denver area.
.PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Analyze past and current production performance data;
- Assists in developing and measuring action plans by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management;
- Assists accounting team in month-end reconciliation and entries;
- Increases productivity by developing automated reporting models and workbooks;
- Identifies key areas of improvement by analyzing actual results against budgets and forecasts;
- Assist with forecasting models and preparing annual budget plans.
- Other tasks as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of business finance and analytics;
- Understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and key performance ratios;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written;
- Intermediate/Expert in using Microsoft Excel
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a service mentality.
- Active listener.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Analytics (or related field) is required
- Power-BI Background
- CPA Firm and/or service-based industry experience;
- CCH software experience preferred;
- Ability to work independently while on team projects.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role or industry.

Compensation Range
$60,000—$85,000 USD

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including computer, office equipment, telephone, etc. Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Required to occasionally lift, hold, or carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Individuals must perform the principal duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
