Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include facilitation of billing process, financial analysis, and reporting for individual projects
- Upload client budgets in financial system
- Scan contracts for proper filing
- Gain exposure in use of Edelman’s client budgeting tool under supervision of Finance Manager
- Assist with client reporting, audit requests and data collection
- Review monthly fee and expense details – pull back up as needed and ensure proper coding of expenses
- Review and approve department’s revenue allocations (with oversight)
- Calculate and track monthly revenues based on active contracts and client billings
- Fee Reconciliation
- Assist Finance and Management team with monthly invoice process
- Review /approve write-offs on project transactions
- Assist project managers with project transaction review
- Ensure timely submission of invoices and supporting documentation to client
- Distribute aged receivables reports to management; assist in collecting commentary
- Review project request forms for compliance and setup code in PeopleSoft
- Process purchase orders upon request
- Run financial queries upon staff request
- Provide time and expense details to Project Managers as incurred on project(s)
- Review missing time reports weekly and follow up on delinquencies
- Support the department by maintaining files, contracts and other relevant documentation
- Ad hoc requests and projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in FIN or ACC
- 1+ years of FIN or ACC experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Client service oriented and fosters positive working relationships
- Well organized and strong time management skills
- Attention to detail, follows through on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
- Contribute to performance appraisal process for peers and managers
- Willing to engage in team building activities
- Takes responsibility for personal growth and development using available resources such as Edelman Learning Institute, on-the-job training and mentoring
