Pay: $35/Hr.

Contract: 1 year with potential for extension

Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing):

• This position will work in a team environment and be involved in all aspects of finance including preparing budgets, forecasts and variance explanations.
• Finance duties also include: reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting financial information including investigating variances and providing explanations to management, responding to ad hoc management requests including financial analysis and recommended operational changes.
• This position works closely as an advisory to our business partners and helps to act as a steward of company funds for our customers and shareholders.
• This position will also perform other financial responsibilities as assigned by the management team in support of the Company’s long-term goals.
• This position will assist in responding to internal and external inquiries and data requests related to regulatory filings and other matters.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develops and leads financial analysis.
• Supports budget development and consolidation process.
• Leads the development, maintenance and analysis of financial plans, budgets and forecasts
• Communicate effectively with operational areas to understand impact of variance on financial results.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies & procedures; act as a liaison with various departments (General Accounting, Tax, Corporate Planning, F&BS, Operations, and Regulatory
• Conducts economic analyses and presentation preparation in support of investment decisions.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
• What are the top (at least 3 if possible) “must have” skill sets (technical/functional) which are required?
• 1. Experience with financial management and analysis, utility and/or relevant industry, accounting standards and practices.
• 2. Demonstrated expertise in consolidated financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, project financial analysis, due diligence process, understanding of accounting, tax and financing principles.
• 3. Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
